Kimba: A Countryside Villa Designed by Arash Raeiszadeh

Respecting Nature and Iranian Architecture

Kimba is a unique countryside villa designed by Arash Raeiszadeh that combines the beauty of Iranian architecture with modern design principles. With a focus on sustainability and indigenous materials, this villa showcases the perfect blend of simplicity and elegance.

The inspiration for Kimba came from a desire to respect the earth and minimize the impact on nature. Arash Raeiszadeh drew inspiration from the windmills of Iran's deserts and the modernization of traditional Iranian architecture. The villa features a corridor located between the retaining wall and the underground wall, creating a connection between specific elements of Iranian architecture and modern design.

One of the key strengths of Kimba is its use of proportionate materials that take into account the climate of the area. This allows for maximum usage of natural light and ventilation, reducing the need for artificial lighting and cooling systems. The design also incorporates planetary relationships, creating a sense of detachment between public and private spaces that aligns with the client's culture.

Stretching the exterior outdoor atmosphere into the indoor spaces is another unique feature of Kimba. By applying different levels of variation, the design achieves maximum roofing space, creating a seamless transition between the interior and exterior. The principle of beauty along with simplicity is evident throughout the villa, avoiding volumetric and facade exaggeration.

The realization of Kimba involved the use of metal structures, steel decks, and 3D panels. The mechanical room of the villa is separated from the mechanical room of the pool, sauna, and jacuzzi, optimizing energy usage. The technical specifications include a pool, sauna, jacuzzi, locker room, entertainment salon, kitchen, living room, guest room, terrace, master bedrooms, private living room, and more, spread across three levels.

Kimba is not only visually stunning but also highly functional. The villa features a transparent bullet-proof glass roof that can be used as a terrace above the pool area. The entertainment room is equipped with the best possible equipment and materials, ensuring a luxurious experience for the inhabitants. The design also incorporates moving louvers for overlooking windows, allowing for privacy and control of natural light.

The Kimba project started in December 2016 in Hashtgerd, Iran, and was completed in February 2019. Throughout the design process, the team faced various challenges, including a limited budget and the need to balance the client's wishes with professional ideals. The design also had to comply with countryside regulations and overcome technical challenges such as designing fences, outer walls, and entrances. Despite these obstacles, the team successfully created a harmonious and functional villa.

Kimba has received recognition for its outstanding design. In 2019, it was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. Kimba's integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics contribute to a better world.

Kimba is a testament to the power of design to blend tradition and modernity, sustainability and luxury. With its unique features and attention to detail, this countryside villa stands as a symbol of Arash Raeiszadeh's talent and dedication to creating exceptional living spaces.
